Machame route is one of the beautiful and most popular routes when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, The Machame is well known as the ‘Whiskey’ involves some hard hiking that results in satisfying those who make and tolerate it when the climb gets hard. The Machame route is the perfect mixture hike, for those wanting a physical challenge and a charming Climbing.

DAY 1: MOSHI – MACHAME CAMP

Today our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Moshi and make the Drive to Kilimanjaro Nation Park.

After reaching the Park, Our Guide will make a detailed briefing for the Climb before ascending through the stunning rainforest in the deep beauty of Kilimanjaro.

Through an ancient jungle, the hike takes 5-6 hours, on the way you will have an opportunity to spot some wildlife creatures such as white and black Colobus monkeys.

Today you will make your final stop at Machame Camp ( About 3,000 meters), Your porters will be waiting for you with the pitched tents already, warm water for taking bath and a ready made dinner for you, this will give you new energy and motive for tomorrow’s hike.

Day 2: MACHAME CAMP – SHIRA CAMP

You will wake up early today in the morning, you will have a little bit of short hiking today! Your hike will be of full new experience today as you will be going through the lush forest on an amazing light hill.
The hike of today takes you up to Shira Camp by the mid-afternoon, arriving this time will give you a moment to relax and steep in the spectacular view of Kibo Glacier from Shira Hill.

DAY 3: SHIRA CAMP – LAVA TOWER – BARRANCO CAMP

After breakfast immediately you will be intimidating from the Lava Tower and it’s about (4,640 meters)
Then after hiking about 700mertes to the Lava Tower, you’ll be descending slowly from the Lava Tower towards Barranco Camp approximately at 4,500metres.

Again, you will be climbing through different flora zones and finally, you’ll set up your camps at the Barranco Camp in the shadow of the magnificent Barranco wall. You will rest at the Barranco Camp for the whole evening. The camp is also considered the most attractive of all of the Camps on Kilimanjaro.

DAY 4: BARRANCO CAMP – BARAFU CAMP

Just after the midnight relaxation, in fact, you will start your day early today!

Our crew will greet you with a cup of hot tea with an alight snack for you to get energy as you get dressed and ready for today’s hike.
You’ll be climbing through the Barranco Wall for a bit of old-fashioned rock climbing.

After this untamed initial trial, you will continue on the way to the Karanga Valley, where you’ll have a little bit stop for lunch.

After your lunch, you’ll take another hike for about 2 to 3 hours until you reach the Barafu Camp.
As you’ll be ascending to the summit tomorrow, it’s better that you take enough meals and drink plenty of water for better hiking to Uhuru Peak.

DAY 5: BARRANCO CAMP – BARAFU CAMP

Just after the midnight relaxation, in fact, you will start your day early today!

Our crew will greet you with a cup of hot tea with an alight snack for you to get energy as you get dressed and ready for today’s hike.

You’ll be climbing through the absolute darkness for the next 5 to 7 hours, so you will have to take it easy and slow, and without noticing you will arrive at Stella Point in few moments. From here there will be powerful hiking before you reach your final goal of Uhuru Peak and this takes about another two hours.

While standing at 5,985m, Boom!! You have Done it!!
You’ll be able to experience a stunning sunrise and take in the panoramic view.
After taking your stunning Mountain Photos, you’ll then descent back to Barafu Camp, where you’ll have a short break for lunch and some cerebration with your crew.
After this short break, you’ll take a small hike down to Mweka Camp and overnight here.

DAY 6: MWEKA CAMP – MOSHI

Wow! You have Made it!!

Today is the Celebration, you have become one of the few people who have ever take a hike to the roof of Africa.
After breakfast on the mountain, you’ll descend to Mweka Gate. Here you’ll get to celebrate with your porters and guides for the successfully Climb. You will provide them with their Tips for their hard work.

After the Party remembers to take your Certificate of completion.
Your driver will then pick you up and drive to Arusha hotel for a well-earned relaxation, or drive you to the airport for your flight.
